Room 1, CES | Alta
The situation in Western Sahara presents new challenges, arising from the recent positions of States such as France, the United States or Spain. On the other hand, the Court of Justice of the European Union declared the trade agreement between Morocco and the EU invalid because it included products originating in the territory of Western Sahara, in violation of the status of a non-autonomous territory under International Law. The seminar will discuss these and other developments and the ways in which the international solidarity movement is responding to Western Sahara.
