1. Introduction to COST-Actions and their financial instruments
Speaker: Fernanda Rollo (UNL)
Manager of SHiFT Cost-Action and recently appointed CES Ombudsperson, Fernanda will give an overview of how COST-Actions work, including instruments such as Short-Term Scientific Missions, Virtual Mobility Grants and Conference Grants. Also covered will be the SHiFT Cost-Action, which explores the role of the social sciences and humanities in the context of climate change - an area of interest for researchers from CES, ECOSOC and CIAS.

2. Institutional context and articulation with other sources of funding
Speaker: Hélia Santos (GAGEP, CES)
An institutional overview will be given of COST funding and how it links up with other funding and exchange opportunities at CES.
