Cristian Camilo Fernández Lopera


Biography

Cristian C. Fernández Lopera is a disaster risk manager with an emphasis on public policies. Interest in disaster risk finance and socioeconomic vulnerability to disasters. Work experience in Colombia, Germany, Perú and Portugal working with the public sector (national and local level), private sector and academia. 10 years of specific experience in disaster risk management. He is currently completing his PhD in Territory, Risk and Public Policies at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Cristian holds a Master's degree in Social Dynamics, Natural and Technological risks, (University of Coimbra, Portugal) and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English, and is currently learning German.
