CES is the scientific host institution for PhD students when applying for funding programmes associated with their PhD research.

CES helps its doctoral students throughout the application processes to scholarship programmes, such as:

Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation

Foundation for Science and Technology

Luso-American Development Foundation

Camões I.P.

Student Services at the Embassies of Lusophone Africa

The International Relations Unit of the University of Coimbra (DRIUC) regularly publishes notices on mobility grants.

All students are encouraged to seek sources of financing that are appropriate to their individual profile and to the subject matter of their research project. CES provides support in the various phases of the application process, from the verification of the eligibility conditions, to the issuance/verification of documents supporting the application procedure and review of the projects.
